we choose to deepen our awareness and expand our capacity for loving,
conscious action. At ORI, we learn from teachers both physical and nonphysical, and from the
wisdom we awaken in one another.
My own path was anything but planned. I was a writer, teacher, and mushroom farmer when a
visit to Sunset Spiritualist Church in Wells, Kansas—intended as a simple week of curiosity—
opened into years of training and spiritual development. This keynote shares that journey—
how surrendering to unexpected guidance can transform everything.
Shiitake Mama - Oklahoma. Shiitake channels messages from mushrooms and a collective
consciousness. A lifetime as teacher, writer, actor and director made her the perfect channel for
Madame Tremella (a type of mushroom), a fun fungus-channeling Romanian psychic. Shiitake
is writing a book of messages from mushrooms, “Everything is Always Singing.”
